Zanskar is a contemporary Hindi rock band based out of the capital city of India, New Delhi. A powerhouse on stage, Zanskar is a LIVE band that plays everything ranging from the latest Bollywood/Indipop tracks to retro-classic English rock music, apart from their own album, ‘Raasta’.
They have performed at many venues including campuses such as JIIT-Noida, FMS-Delhi and corporations like Airtel. In 2010, Zanskar was also invited to perform LIVE at the Asian Academy of Film and TV (Marwah Studios) in Noida Film City.
A group of four zealous musicians, Zanskar uses music to express its passion for life and worldly opinions. True to their name, which means simple, good and pure, this band fuses simple melodies with rock and other genres to create a rhythm that flows through the listener’s soul like a majestic river unrestrained.
Zanskar released their album, ‘Raasta’, online in 2009 and by the end of the September, had received over a 1000 listens. In 2010, the album was also selected to be amongst their repertoire compilation disc by the Hindi Rock Circuit (Mumbai).
With its rising popularity, Zanskar was also featured in India’s biggest music and entertainment magazine, Blender, January 2010 issue.
