An interesting amalgamation of two talented musicians, playing jazz standards fused with contemporary blues and folk to create a mesmerizing soundscape
Smiti Malik is a singer, and is a vocalist of the Delhi-based band Kitchensink. She has learned Hindustani and Western vocal styles and is influenced by jazz, blues and folk music. She is a session musician too, and has shared the stage with the likes of The Aditya Balani Group and Nishad Pandey. She is also associated with 'Chayan and Smiti', an acoustic set up with songwriter and vocalist Chayan Adhikari. Adhir Ghosh is a session-guitarist, music teacher and composer. He is associated with two bands – Five8 (funk/rock) and Kitchensink (Jazz/RnB); he also played with Artists Unlimited, The Yellow Brick Project, MAP, Classic Collective, Vasundhara Vee and others, which has gained him the reputation of being one of first-call guitarists in the city. He is also a music educator and teaches at Global Music Institute, one of the premier music institutes in Delhi.
