Samay is a LIVE band based out of the capital city of India, New Delhi. As the name suggests, the band denotes an eternal entity. This is exactly what the band wishes to achieve through its music. Samay is a namesake itself which describes the journey of all the members through time and different genres which is depicted in their music. Every member brings something unique to the table along with their experience of years to bring forth beautiful renditions of songs and compositions. The Delhi-based group of musicians brings along their experience from various arrays of music ranging from classical to Sufi, from jazz to rock and try to create a mix of all these beautiful forms along with popular genres like Sufi, fusion, semi-classical, contemporary, Bollywood, Indie-pop, and Indie-rock. The members have structured the band both as an acoustic trio and an equally competent full band setup.  Band Members: Abhishek Sharma – Lead Vocals, Percussions Abhishek represents the first generation of musicians in his family. He is trained in Hindustani Classical Music and holds a Masters Degree in Classical Instrumental from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. He has been a recipient of many prestigious scholarships all along the way. He has been a part of ICCR empanelled group, Antardhwani, and has also accompanied and trained under various renowned artists during his musical career of over 15 years. He, finally, started with his dream project – Samay – dedicated solely to producing and rearranging top quality music as the lead vocalist. Vaibhav Wadhwa – Guitars, Vocals, Synth Vaibhav, one of the founder members of Samay, has also been a student of music for over ten years now and the best part of his musical brilliance is his deep understanding of various genres of music. He has a vast knowledge of an array of genres and he draws his inspirations from artists like Pink Floyd, Metallica, Coldplay in western music and almost all of them in Indian scene.
