Oh, Rocket is a pop/rock/electronica LIVE band based out of the capital city of West Bengal, Kolkata. It is an indie pop/synth pop/electronica act that also blends other genres with dreamy, soul singing and dancey electronic vibes. The band is the brainchild of Droppinginanchor aka Aniket Dutta, who is also a singer and songwriter. The band's single – Cat Door Back Door Man – defines the uber-cool factor and creates a funky indie atmosphere. Oh, Rocket is majorly influenced by bands like Copeland, Neon Indian, Portugal The Man, MGMT, Mew, etc. The band is writing new songs to discover and define new musical styles. He has played at Bomb Thursday (Mumbai) and at The High Spirits (Pune), along with some gigs in Kolkata. Oh, Rocket was founded in the year 2013, and it comprises Aniket Dutta as the singer/songwriter and Shubharun Sengupta as the guitarist, composer and producer. The band released its first EP – The Clouds Woke No Clocks. The duo has known each other for quite a long time and both have shared mutual points of view as regards to music.
