Mantra is an alternative/fusion/rock LIVE band based out of the capital city of West Bengal, Kolkata. Formed in December 2009, the band is a union of Indian classical and rock music. It is a unique space where melodic rock guitar riffs, piano tunes and Indian traditional vocals fuse with Western classical music, to find its way into the soul of a distant fusion. Mantra’s sound is a mélange of styles, moods and textures they have taken in from different cultures and musical techniques of the world. Representing the classics with a fresh outlook, the band shares the passion for entertaining people and decided to form a unique sound that will get the crowds at the clubs & festivals, rocking and wanting to hear more. Their sound is the reflection of the modern world. It has an inherent ‘world music’. Their music is for everyone who’s looking for a new experience.
