"It was a magical time, because I Expectedly managed to turn my little juvenile fantasies into a way of life."- Keith Richards, guitarists of The Rolling Stones. The irreverent music that has now been categorized into the genre of “classic rock” has seen some of the greatest rock bands and icons that continue to influence contemporary rock and pop music till date. The music speaks of a dynamic time shaped by political strife, cultural flux and a need of the younger generation to make their voices heard – loud and uncensored. It was an unbridled fervor that saw the emergence of rock music and its establishment as a voice for the young remains influential even today. It became, as the quote above suggests, a way of life. Classic Collective is a group of musicians who have come together to pay tribute to these very icons of rock, focusing on the timeless bands of the 1960s through to the early 1980s. With Aveleon on Drums, Steve on bass, Adhir on Guitar, Anindo on Keyboards and Robin on the vocals, Classic Collective promises to be a powerful and versatile act covering everything from The Beatles to Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones to Queen and many more. Band Members:
Aveleon Vaz is a drummer who has been playing professionally for the last decade and is also a music teacher at the G.D. Goenka School (Vasant Kunj). He has been associated with bands like Five8, Think Floyd, Artistes Unlimited and Simple Truth, to name a few.
