Blending Chords is a pop/rock/tribute LIVE band based out of the capital city of India, New Delhi. It is a Christian band formed by four like-minded members of University Evangelical Fellowship (UEF), Delhi. Initially, it was formed as a group of artists from UEF in 2009, with an aim to promote different genres of the Christian music to the world. Later the name 'Blending Chords' was finalized, as the band looked forward to experiment with different genres of music. The lead vocalist, Awarthanga Chiru, is the founding member of Blending Chords in the year 2009. Then, Christopher, the lead guitarist, came in a year later in 2010. Later, the drummer, Hemendra Nath, joined in 2011. Awar and Christopher work together in the UEF music school, while Hemzi (Hemendra) taught in his own school – 'Hemzi's Buzz'. The trio wanted to take the band to new heights but they needed one bass player to complete their lineup. This was the time when they came across a talented friend – Mathew. Mathew joined the band as the bassist in March 2013, and hence Blending Chords got an official start. The band believes in the power of music to change the hearts and minds of the listeners. It also believes in clean fun and good lyrics to uplift people – and most of all to glorify God. The band has been inspired by the legendary Christian rock band – the Grammy award winner – 'Petra'.
