Soulful, chilled out music from bunch of guys from South India, Thayirsadam Blues won three National level festivals in 2016-17, and also featured in Radio One.
Curd Rice's (thayir sadam) elegant simplicity is the inspiration for these young artists, so taken away were they taken by it that they named the Band after it. Tayirsadam Blues is a bunch of young talented individuals with common love for harmonies, travel and food.
They are rocking it out with some innovative soulful blend of music, which includes influences from rock, funk, reggae, jazz, carnatic and bollywood with a Bluesy touch. Thyirsadam Blues like to have simple, elegant, chilled out, soulful music replicating the qualities of their favourite Curd Rice. They belive in the universality of music and thus their consistent attempts to fuse different elements into their own unique style.
They were the winners of 3 National level music festivals in the year 2016-17. A recent press release appeared on Pune Mirror and they have also been featured on Radio One. They have created their own six original compositions by now, the EP of which at the time of writing is being mastered and expected to be launched at Radio Mirchi Mumbai. They have been an inspiration to numeorus others youngsters and upcoming bands. Their journey is being captured in the form of a documentary by being made by students of SIMC.
