Satwinder Pal Singh is young sarangi artist and disciple of his father, S Shaminder Pal Singh. Satwinder is an A Grade Artist of AIR and DD. Born in 1993, Satwinder, at very tender age, got sangeet taleem from his father. His father is A-grade artist of All India Radio and disciple of Padam Bhushan Ustad Sabri Khan Sahib. Musical atmosphere at home inspired him to seriously follow the tradition of performing art. His first performance as a vocal student was in 1998 (at the age of five) at Shree Baba Harivalbh Sangeet Sammelan, Jalandhar. He has performed in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, etc. Satwinder has also performed alongside his father for Chief Minister Sardar Prakash Singh Badal. In 2012, Satwinder got a chance to learn some techniques from Padama Bhushan Ustad Sabri Khan Sahib and performed with the legend in a workshop organized by Spic Macay in Delhi.
