Nida got married when she was pursuing the final year of her masters degree. Sheeran Raza Khan belongs to the Ala Hazrat clan of the Bareilly, and Ala Hazrat was an Islamic scholar and the founder of the Barelvi movement in South Asia. Within five months of marriage, her in-laws started pressurizing her for dowry, and she became the victim of domestic violence and instant divorce.In one of her interviews, Nida Khan stated that he in-laws promised to continue her further studies after the marriage, but during her final exams, in the second paper, her husband dragged her out of the examination room in the presence of teachers and policemen but no one dared to point him because he belonged to a well-reputed family of Uttar Pradesh. Nida suffered a miscarriage when she was badly beaten up by her husband, and on 17 July 2015, her husband gave her the triple talaq or instant divorce that forced her to leave her home.
