In an interview, she revealed, unlike other girls with fair skin, Sayanora never received a love letter. She believed that no one would ever like her. Sayanora, however, learned to play the guitar and since then she did not feel ignored as people started observing her. Sayanora, in the interview, said, There were times I felt conscious when a fair skin woman stood next to me. As a child, I used to compare myself with kids who were fair and check how many shades darker I am. While in school, I used to see people flirting around my friends and not me, which made me think nobody would ever fall for me. I didn’t receive love letters and as a child, I felt hopeless about life. I started playing guitar and people started noticing me. And that was the beginning of me finding self-love.
