Warhorse Chained

The brutal/technical death metal band from Kerala has made its mark in the Indian metal scene with their extreme music

Kochi, Kerala

Warhorse Chained is a five-piece death metal band based out of Kochi, Kerala. Known as WHC, the band was formed in early 2004 by the vocalist, Vivek Chiramel. Covering bands like Obituary and Sepultura, they were the first extreme metal band in their home city, who spearheaded the beginning of the local metal scene. The band went through a number of line-up changes and new members joined in as previous members were leaving for various reasons. With the new line-up, the band decided to go for a heavier sound and started working on original music. A few killer gigs in different cities gathered them an underground cult following. In 2011, the band supported Putrid Pile in Bangalore and performed at Sounds of Underground in Trivandrum. Warhorse Chained is considered to be one of the pioneers of extreme metal in Kerala. The band has made its mark in the local metal scene and is looking to playing more shows across the country. The band is currently writing new music and working on a release. Band Members: Vivek Chiramel – Vocals Binish Palamuttath – Rhythm Guitar Vimal Ramesh – Lead Guitar Dino – Drums Sujay – Bass
