Biography

Voyage is a LIVE band based out of Guwahati, Assam. They started their journey in 2011 with three founding members - Tinkle Das, Junak Gogoi, and Chinmoy Talukdar. The band went through various changes in their lineup throughout these years, but now they are finally settled with Saptarshi Medhi and Jordan Abraham joining the band as the bass player and the vocalist. The band performed in numerous venues and music festivals within the state and can be seen performing in various clubs and pubs. The band is hugely influenced by the music of legendary bands like Pink Floyd, Rush, White Snake, Queen, Deep Purple to name a few. The group also participated successfully in some competitions within the state of Assam like Octaves 2015 (Winners, best keyboardist, best drummer), Concensio 2015 (Runners up), Rock Rules 2015 (runners-up, best keyboardist, best bassist). The band's original compositions are based on important matters that people do not usually pay much attention to. The first song, Colors, builds on the feeling of an employee working for a bullying boss, and the next song, Voyage, based on the beginning of a journey of a man as he accomplishes his desires and how he meets his faith is to be followed. The band is currently experimenting with their genre and working on new originals. They are also planning to release an EP very soon.
