Violinist Balambal is one of the finest instrumentalists of the country who belongs to the family of Legendary Veena maestro, Karaikudi Sambasiva Iyer. Balambal is a supremely talented artist who has completed her M.A. and M.Phil in Indian Music. She is the proud disciple of Padmashri Nadabrahmam Dr. Kunnakudi Vaidyanathan. The lady is extremely passionate about music. She started learning Carnatic Violin at the age of 5 under the guidance of Guru Smt. Saraswathi. Later, she continued her learning under great Violin maestro Padmashri Dr. Kunnakudi Vaidyanathan at the prestigious Kunnakudi Sangeetha Gurukulam. Balambal has an authentic music background and she performs at multiple music events and shows with great reverence. Balambal has also worked with world-renowned music director Padmashri A.R. Rahman for several projects including jingles, albums, and background Scores. She has been recognized and awarded as the “Best Violinist” of 2012 by Lion’s Club of Madras and “Best Scion” by Cathedral Club of Chennai.
