Vijayalakshmy Subramaniam is a professional singer based out of the capital city of Tamil Nadu, Chennai. Playing the Instruments and singing forms the heart and soul of her life. Her perennial learning in the field of classical music is evidently visible in her soulful performances. With her career in music extending over three decades, Vijayalakshmy, today is among the most sought after vocalists of the Carnatic music tradition. She is most popularly known for her captivating voice, bhava rich music and extensive repertoire. Classical music is considered to touch the soul and Vijayalakshmy effortless does that. Her creative expressions are a fine blend of raga bhava and sahitya bhava, imparting tremendous refinement and sophistication to her presentations. Her distinctive vocal style makes it an enchanting experience to watch her perform live. Her original renditions have echoed at some of the most well known auditoriums in Tamil Nadu. She has travelled to Kerala, West Bengal, Karnataka and other states on invitation to perform at classical music shows and events.
