Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan is a professional Indian classical music singer from Mumbai. Ustad Ghulam is a legend in Hindustani classical music. Ustad Ghulam, born in 1931, belongs to Rampur-Sahaswan Gharana. He is the son of Ustad Waris Hussain Khan. Ustad Ghulam's music rich family lineage continues to preserve the rich heritage of Indian classical music. Ustad Ghulam has been training many noted playback and classical musicians. Being a prodigy he is, he was awarded Padam Shree award in 1991, and then Padam Bhushan in 2006. He was also awarded Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, the highest honor given by Sangeet Natak Academy in 2003. He learned music from his father, and his learning started at a very early age. He then went into the guidance of Ustad Fida Hussain Khan. Ustad Ghulam Mustafa is a living legend who has devoted his life to pass down the natural nectar of Indian Classical music.
