My Compelling Story
Urshilla Dance Company is a professional dance troupe based out of the capital city of India, New Delhi. Headed by Bhavini Misra, UDC's aim is to become a key player in helping dance gain its prime place even in the corporate industry, imparting guidance to young professionals, while developing new business development programmes for artists. UDC aims to become a pioneer of dance camps in every stratum of society like corporates, schools, colleges, tourism, ministry, gyms, and studios. The troupe specialises in dance forms like chhau, contemporary, jazz, Latin, classical vocabularies, folk forms, hip-hop, and street. The artists are given the opportunity to create their own choreography styles. Bhavini Misra has won great appreciation for her contribution to aiding street children in developing dance education through UDC's first production titled Anurakti in 2013. She also received the Certificate of Appreciation by Ministry of Culture for her contribution to creating a 25-min long choreography with children of different disabilities.
