Biography

Twijlang is a LIVE band based out of Agartala, Tripura. The name of the band means ocean or sea in their native language, Kokborok. They are an alternative metal and rock band. Twijlang is the brainchild of Barkish Debbarma (Lead Guitars) and his younger brother, Koushik Debbarma (Rhythm Guitar and Backing Vocals). They found two more members who would handle the drums and bass, Kelvin Debbarma (Bass Guitar) and Malthar Debbarma (Drums), who were the nephews of Koushik and Barkish. Later, Jiten Debbarma joined them as a vocalist but due to certain circumstances, had to drop off. After that, Twijlang was back to its original line-up of four-piece, with Koushik handling the vocals duties. The members decided to leave this band to its own form and preserve their tastes with its name and carry on with another genre, a new name and a new vocalist, Eliz's Apprentice. A five-piece pop/punk/hardcore band continued the taste of Twijlang, but in a new form. In the near future, Twijlang will be known as Eliz's Apprentice.
