Punk as a genre encompasses everything, from cheesy humour, witty remarks and sarcasm to brash lyrics and that is exactly what this band represents and lives by
Sex Pistols, Ramones, Black Flag, Screeching Weasel, Minor Threat, Fugazi, Patti Smith, The Clash and Bad Brains were some bands that gave shape to the punk movement in the West. Inspired by the 70s Punk rock movements like Oi!, DIY, Alternative and SKA, Tripwire was born. Onstage energy, crunch in sound, witty comments, a few tricks on drums, guitars and bass defines this band. Breaking ice with the most indifferent audiences is no mean feat, and Tripwire certainly knows how to do it. The band's chemistry is what has kept them going since 2002. From a small self-made jam room at a member's old apartment to an album with 15 tracks and 10 fresh tracks to be released soon, it has been a journey worth celebrating for them! Their first album was composed over a period of 4 years, rocking out at clubs, pubs and national level competitions. They refrain from using slang in any of their songs, and disrespecting any religion is beneath them. They write about what they see and what they feel is not right, often proving their point with apt rational counter arguments or an alternate view. They are against the common notion, "if it’s wrong, bring it down". From time to time their songs have strived to draw attention to what they are bordered by. Punk is just not anarchy, vandalism or rebellion, it is a lot more. The gratification they get out of gigs is indescribable. The crowd has loved them and all their shows have been loud and fun. They walk onto the stage with a mindset to simply entertain. Band Members: Amey – Vocals/Guitars Jack – Drums/Electronics Shaggy – Bass/Vocals
