Threinody is a LIVE band based out of the IT capital of India, Bangalore. Formed in 1996, the band was formed when three individuals got together to play music inspired by their favourite metal bands. Having weathered a slew of personnel changes, Threinody set out to create hard-hitting metal inspired by classic metal of the 70’s and thrash metal of the 80’s. Brought up on a steady diet of Kreator, Slayer, Black Sabbath, Metallica and similar artists, the band also fuse their various influences together to create an unrelenting metal mesh. The band’s music, always temporally and sonically dynamic, shifts moods, from brooding to energetic and in between. Threinody’s lyrics deal with reincarnation, war, solitude and the various aspects of life and death. Threinody is an accomplished LIVE band, renowned for their intense concert performances and captivating music. Threinody have played at Chennai, Bangalore, Kozikhode, Delhi, Mysore, Mumbai, Pune and Shimoga to audiences of up to 15,000 people. The band was inactive between 2007 and 2012. With the new drummer, Shreyas, and additional guitarist Siddhart, Threinody is working towards recording a 12-song album at guitarist Premik’s home studio, Area 51.
