The Window Seat is a LIVE band based out of the finance capital of India, Mumbai. Their sound is influenced by Afrobeat, funk, and jazz with a melodic and improvisational outlook, which makes this band unique. Their focus is on playing for the ‘music’. Lindsay D’Mello is an accomplished and a versatile drummer who performs music almost every other day. He is a big fan of collective communication, writing great tunes, and playing with a dedicated attitude. His inspiration includes The Petri Dish Project, Bliss Logic, Groove Suppa, Bombay Black, and the GG’s. Tala Faral, a saxophonist and keyboardist, is truly a gifted world player. His experience in jazz and funk idioms has shaped the sound of many bands. He strives for complete expression with focus on the melody. His inspiration includes Potomac Jazz Quartet, Sarimanouk, and Groove Suppa. Bass player Sonu Sangameswaran has been playing electric bass for more than 10 years. His experience spans from the sound of progressive rock, Latin, and hip-hop to funk and African music, integrated with an original sense of groove. His inspiration includes Vivek Rajagopalan Quartet, Parallel Reality, Smoke Signals, and Anal Funk. The repertoire includes originals created out of a few years of musical interaction.
