The Roving Sikhs resulted from an idea of making something which did not exist before, i.e., a Sikh rock band. From long times, Sikhs have been seen as just equipped for executing as Raagis and tabla players in Gurudwaras. Along these lines, the thought was to do something that nobody else has done.
