The Minimalist is a LIVE band based out of Silchar, Assam. They are the front-runners of metal in the northeastern region of India. They have a particular sound and a loyal following. Their music is groovy and different from contemporary metal. The Minimalist was formed in 2014 and has made a mark in the independent music scene of Assam. Drummer, Hizol, has his own recording studio called Minimalistic Studio, where he not only produces and records songs for his band, but also for other artists. He is one of the best drummers of the region and has been promoting independent music for a long time. The Minimalist has released one full-length album called Facepaint in 2015.
