Biography

The Indian Projekt is a LIVE band based out of the finance capital of India, Mumbai. The duo consists of Bollywood music directors, Bishakh and Kanish, who are playback singers as well. Bishakh Jyoti Born in a small town of Bongaon in West Bengal, he was brought up in Kolkata. He received guidance in music from Smt. Reshmi Chakrabarty and Pt Sanjay Chakrabarty. He began his career in music early in his childhood with songs for Hindi films and ad jingles. He was the winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Zee Bangla in 2007 and the first runner-up of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Zee TV in 2010. He was then mentored by music composers, Sajid-Wajid. RD Burman has been his prime influence in music. Kanish Sharma Born in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir, he moved to Mumbai as a youth to pursue his career in music. He started his formal training in classical music under Pt PN Raina. He completed his higher studies from Lovely Professional University, Punjab, during which, he participated and won several state and regional level inter-college competitions. In Mumbai, he was trained in music under Shri Suresh Wadkar. His influences in music are Mohammed Rafi, Kishore Kumar, Shankar Mahadevan, Sonu Nigam, Mehdi Hassan, and Bade Ghulam Ali Khan.
