Biography

Clinton Cerejo is a professional musician who has worked in the advertising and film industry. He started his career 13 years ago, when he sang jingles as he would compose them. He scored hundreds of ad films for major brands like Audi, Tata, World Gold Council, Vodafone, Hyundai, Pepsi, Levi’s, Airtel, Phillips, Colgate, etc. His jingle for Lifebuoy’s ‘Gundappa’ and Vodafone’s ‘Blackberry Boys’ received critical acclaim within the ad circles. As a vocal arranger and programmer in the Bollywood industry, Clinton has worked and continues to work with music directors like Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy (SEL), AR Rahman, Salim Sulaiman, Vishal Bhardwaj, and Pritam. His film credits comprise blockbusters such as Kaminey, Dil Chahta Hai, Kal Ho Na Ho, Chak De! India, Kahaani, and many more. Clinton did vocal arrangements of the Oscar-nominated song, ‘If I Rise’, a duet of Dido and AR Rahman. He also did vocal arrangements for songs in Rahman’s previous soundtrack for the Hollywood movie, ‘Couples Retreat.’ Recently, Clinton has been credited with vocal arrangements for international singer Michael Bolton’s new album, ‘Gems’, which features a song by Rahman and for the supergroup ‘Superheavy’, featuring legendary artists like Sir Mick Jagger from the band Rolling Stones, Joss Stone, Dave Stewart, Damien Marley – the son of Bob Marley, and AR Rahman himself.
