Tanglish Comedy is an excellent group of professional comedians based out of the capital city of Tamil Nadu, Chennai. It is primarily a platform for standup comedians to showcase their talents in Tamil and English. The team runs weekly open mic events every week at Cafe Central. They have completed 25 weekly open mic shows between 2016 to 2017 at Superstar Pizza and Besant Nagar. Tanglish Comedy also actively runs corporate shows, college shows, private shows and public ticketed shows of standup comedy. They haves been featured in national dailies like The Hindu, The Times of India and The New Indian Express so far. Mala is the founder/producer of Tanglish Comedy. He started his journey as a standup comedian in the year 2015. He considers that the audience's applause, laugh, cheer and also silence – there is no better award than this. Mala himself is a very versatile standup comedian whose range includes story-telling, joke-telling, impersonation and voice modulation. He is superbly chill and transfers the same to the group.
