Swarupa Ananth has been a prolific entertainer since a young age. She is a disciple of Ustad Allarakha and Ustad Zakir Hussain and has been playing the tabla for over 20 years. Apart from the tabla, she has grown to teach herself a whole gamut of percussion instruments from the Djembe and Darbuka to the Cajon and Timbale. Her first album as music producer, ‘Raagatronic’ was released by Times Music in 2014. In no time, the album saw success reaching the #1 spot on iTunes India charts. She has triumphed against all odds, ranking among the county’s most innovative, young musicians today and marked her place in the Forbes India 30 Under 30 list 2015.
