Swarup Varma is a professional DJ based out of Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. One of Vizag’s foremost leading DJ, he is unquestionably one of the pioneers of excellent music and entertainment today since stepping down from his role as the lead singer of a band called Dust in 2002. Swarup has made a name for him as one of the most respected and forward-thinking electronic musicians to emerge out of Vizag. His versatility in various music genres has always created an ambience of taste, talent and celebration for all music lovers. Over the last half-decade, Swarup has mercilessly rocked dance-floors across India and abroad with his intense, fast paced mixing style and unique blend of playful, funk-laden grooves, often contrasted by deep (but blistering) house, deep tech house, groovy techno and jacking house to dub, reggae, nu-jazz, funk, electro-swing and hip-hop. Swarup established his evolve brand in 2005 as a way to coalesce his numerous playing around India. Now taking off globally, club goers have quickly begun to equate the word with joy-inducing, risk-taking sets that shatter musical boundaries and the conventions of what a DJ set should be.
