Biography

Susmita Das is a professional singer based out of Bhubaneswar, Odisha. She has regularly been performing in stage shows, cultural events, AIR Cuttack, and various TV channels. Susmita has performed in and outside Bhubaneswar including Sambalpur, Rourkela, Angul, Mumbai, Delhi, Dehradun, Jamshedpur, etc. She sings mostly Hindi and Oriya film songs, ghazals, devotional songs, modern non-film songs, Odissi, and semi-classical songs. She has come out with a new CD consisting of eight love poems of the Oriya poet, Dr Mayadhar Mansingh, called 'Maya Darpan'. Susmita performed at the OSA Convention 2007 held in Detroit, USA, and in Canada, London, Ontario and Toronto, as well. Her performance has been well-received everywhere.
