Biography

Inspired by the legend Mohammad Rafi, Suraj Kumar Das is a versatile singer and entertainer. His voice has a perfect classical feel which he skilfully uses to bring alive the euphoria of great classical numbers. Hailing from Bhubaneshwar, Suraj holds a software degree and also an MBA. His father, Dev Das owns a band which is quite popular in their city. Suraj accompanied his father’s band and started performing from a very young age of six. He has performed alongside popular artists like Neeti Mohan, Yashpal Sharma and Sonu Nigam. Suraj is a big fan of Sonu Nigam’s versatile singing.  Suraj has been nominated and awarded in prestigious award shows on the state as well as the national level. He won the Best Live Performer Award at an event organised by the Telegraph, at Kolkata’s popular mall – City Centre, Salt Lake. Suraj dreams of making it to the Bollywood Industry. He believes that there is no end to learning and his spirits are always high and running. The smile and cute dance moves that he accompanies at his performances, provide an enchanting experience to the crowd.
