Started in 2005, Superfuzz is an alternative rock LIVE band that broke out of the upcoming Delhi indie music scene, and instantly establishing themselves as one of the city's leading alternative acts. The band, with its uncanny ability to compose radio-friendly, power-pop tunes, shot to fame when it won the Channel [V] Launchpad competition, receiving some well-deserved critical acclaim. Comprising Sanchal Malhar on vocals and guitar, Nikhil Rufus Raj on bass guitar, and Aditya Paharia on drums, Superfuzz has captivated audiences across the country with its mesmerizing LIVE sets. In 2008, Superfuzz was selected to be a part of the British Council's 'Soundpad' project, which gave the band an opportunity to work alongside John Leckie, producer of Abbey Road Studios and one of the world's leading music producers. John, who had previously worked alongside artists like John Lennon, Pink Floyd, and Radiohead, helped in the production of songs 'Sing To Me' and 'Irresistible'. Later that year, Aditya decided to move overseas, and Sanchal & Nikhil continued playing and writing for various acts in the local scene. In April 2014, Superfuzz announced its reunion and played at Turquoise Cottage, Delhi, performing a balls-to-the-wall set which left the audience craving for more. They also did a smashing set at the Converse Rubber Tracks finale which left people absolutely ecstatic. The band released its debut EP, ‘Inner City Waster’, in late November, and is currently looking at smashing people with some of the old, and some of the new.
