Sundeep Rao is an improvisational on-screen character and voice-over artist. He brings his exceptional style and dry humor to stages across India. He believes that "the inability to laugh at life's problems, challenges and inadequacies is a disability in itself!" Sundeep Rao is India's only blind comic – Expectedly partially blind – who brings his comic foresight, which is rather clear in contrast to his sight. His first comedy special was 'Out of Sight' and was more than just a sixth sense. While Sundeep has been doing standup since 2010, it is only recently that he started talking about his disability in open. In an interview, he said that from being a comic who never spoke about his lack of sight on stage, he has now become a comic who talks only about it. He admits that he initially tip-toed around the topic because he feared of getting the tag of a ‘blind comic’. But now, this Bangalore-based does it anyway – for the attention, drama, and empathy – and mainly because it allows him to be who he is. Being on stage is liberating for him.
