My Compelling Story

Sujata Trivedi is a professional singer based out of the finance capital of India, Mumbai. She started singing from the age of seven and has won several prizes and awards. She started her training under the tutelage of Prabhakar Dhakde in Nagpur, followed by Ustaad Ghulaam Mustafa Khan, Pt Ajay Pohankar, and Ustaad Asad Ali Khan. She has learnt different aspects of light music from Pt Satyanarayan Mishra, Shri Kalyanjibhai, and Gautam Mukherji. Sujata has done recordings with legendary musician AR Rahman for the songs – 'Dil Ne Jise Apna Kaha', 'Boondon Se Baatein' and 'Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi' (1947 Earth). She also recorded with Viju Shah for the movie Calcutta Mail’s peppy song, 'In Saahab Ko Zara Dekho'. Awards and Achievements: Best Singer of India Award – Lata Mangeshkar Puraskar, Sur Singaar Samsad Academy, Mumbai Best singer award for 'Hum Log' (2000) Suvidha Gaurav award (2002) She has sung in Marathi, Manipuri, Bhojpuri, Bengali, Gujarati, Punjabi, Malayalam, Nepali, Tamil, Rajasthani, Oriya, and many more languages. She runs her own musical group called 'Harmony Musical'. Sujata has more than 100 cassettes and CDs of remixes, versions, pop songs and devotional music, under music labels like T-series, Wings, Sargam, Bindatone, HMV, Rap Music, TIPS, Milestones, Magna Sound, Times Music, etc. She has performed over 1600 stage shows pan India and overseas in countries like US, London, Holland, West Indies, South Africa, Canada, Indonesia, Phillipines, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Manilla, Muska, Singapore, Dubai, Malaysia, Bangalore, East Africa, Mauritius, etc. Performed with singers: Nitin Mukesh Manhar Udhas Kumar Sanu Sonu Nigam Vinod Rathod Babul Supriyo Ravindra Jain Abhijeet Kavita Krishnamurthi Shaan Jolly Mukherjee Altmash Faridi Sunidhi Chauhan
