Subho Chakraborty is a professional sitar player based out of the capital city of West Bengal, Kolkata.
A dedicated and talented sitar player in the field of Hindustani classical music, Subho was born to a family with musical background. He is an empanelled artist of ICCR (Delhi), artist of All India Radio and Television (Kolkata), and received the Suramani Award (Mumbai) and Dover Lane Music Conference Award.
Being a proponent of the Maihar Seniya Gharana, Subho strives to achieve a satisfying and complete style of Gayaki Ang, aesthetics, appreciable tonal quality and cogent attitude towards ragas with the finest technique of playing the sitar.
Subho has received talim from Sri Prafulla Kumer Parbat, Pt Debiprasad Chatterjee and Pt Partha Chatterjee, and received vocal training from his mother, Smt Anju Chakraborty (disciple of Pt Amiyaranjan Banerjee).
