Biography

Static Age was formed in the year 2011. Its formation is credited to Frezeo Fernandes, who was the band's mentor and brought Chris, Revellino and Dunstan together. And so, Static Age was born. The band had a different guitarist when they started out who was later replaced by Quinston Menezes. Chris and Heather are the two front voices of the band. Chris Ashley Da Costa is a rhythm guitarist, singers and also a lyricist. ‘My Neighbour’ was his first hit! Sounding the beat of the band is the drummer, Dunstan Dias who has been learning to play the drums for over two years now. Their bassist, Revellino Fernandes, who initially played the keyboard, picked up the bass in just one month and with his hard work and determination which got better in time. As the weeks went by, they started jamming up more often and finally started concentrating on writing their own original compositions. Finally with a little effort, they managed to compose a track called 'My Neighbour' which speaks about an interesting love story between a teenage boy and his neighbour, who was drop-dead gorgeous and how he wanted to be with her since he first laid his eyes on her. They performed this song at many venues, including their own college, and at many events and won a few competitions as well playing this track. They also like playing LIVE covers and getting people to enjoy other kinds of music as well. And since then have performed at several gigs all over Goa and many college festivals, they also organised many impromptu performances in their college canteen raising eyebrows as well as applauding hands. As the months stirred by, they managed to write about 14 more original songs and now plan on creating their own album. They are not constricted to any genre in particular. Punk, rock, pop, country, RnB, blues, funk are a few of the genres that they venture into. Their originals are mainly punk, rock, pop, and country. The key reason behind doing this is that they love playing LIVE music and enjoy creating good music that could be heard on every radio station possible. They enjoy doing local gigs, as well as playing for big events, parties, weddings, concerts, and conferences.
