Biography

Stained Mirror is a six-piece LIVE band based out of the capital city of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow. With humble origins, a guitarist met a drummer and formed a friendship that lasted over all the others that followed. The duo hit it off with many bands and was surprised at the acclaimed reception of their performance and the cold reception for the music they liked. This motivated them to get together with some known names in the music scene of Lucknow and form a group of musicians, who did not like to call themselves a band, but just a bunch of music lovers having fun. Slowly, with time, the group had a frequency lock after many jam sessions and was ready to perform the music which, it thought, would garner them a little more attention. Their not-so-serious approach towards what they do leaves a lot of headroom for improvisations and creative freedom, which they hope to portray in its true sense to their listeners. Band Members: Nitin Yashwardhan Bajpai – Vocals An ardent music follower and vocalist, he has been LIVE on stage many a time and has garnered a lot of acclaims on stages like Mood Indigo ‘12 and IIPM’s Amaze. He has previously worked with bands like D-Nakshatra and Rooh. Akshat Mishra – Guitars A versatile musician, he has been playing for many years amongst various artists of different macabre and currently plays guitars for Naasa. Shadab Siddiqui – Guitars and Backing Vocals His name is well known across this city amongst acclaimed musicians. His previous endeavors with bands like Evil Council, Oxymoron, have claimed him this spot (also the fact that he sponsors the jams). Apoorv Mohan – Drums He has been mentoring himself on the drums with bands like NoS, Moronoscopy, Oxymoron, and more. Currently pursuing electronic genres like DnB and IDM, also producing tracks and getting them out to some serious listeners. Harshita Tiwari – Vocals She has previously performed for DD Uttar Pradesh on various occasions and is currently helping out Naasa with her excellent vocals. Siddharth Yadav
