Biography

Spunk is a Bollywood/fusion/pop/rock LIVE band based out of the capital city of West Bengal, Kolkata. It has been rated as one of the best Hindi rock bands in India with power-packed gigs. They are basically the ultimate definition of Bollywood rock. The band has been quoted by many Mumbai-based magazines as "the heavier side of Bollywood." Their LIVE sets give the audiences a hypnotic journey through Bollywood that ranges from the era of 60s to the era of 90s. The cover list of the band became so popular worldwide that they released their debut Bollywood EP in January 2014, featuring some of their best signature Bollywood covers. Spunk has also worked with some of the Bollywood projects. They are among the first Hindi rock bands to play at Hard Rock Cafe, and other international pubs, where giants like Indian Ocean, Swarathma and Raghu Dixit Project have played. Spunk has, till date, covered more than 200 gigs, which is a big achievement. However, their biggest achievement occurred when they won the Channel [V] Launchpad Hindi in the year 2012.
