Spine Shatter is a LIVE band based out of Chennai, Tamil Nadu. They play groove metal. The band is influenced by acts like Conquering Dystopia, Keith Merrow, Feared, Ola Englund, Lamb of God, Pantera, Sepultura, Textures, Meshuggah, Decapitated, Gojira, Nevermore, Slayer, Tool, Bloodbath, Death, Megadeth, The Down Troddence, and Scribe. The band hopes to become one amongst the several major metal acts from India. Awards: First place at IIT Saarang Powerchords 2015 with Pranav winning the best drummer First at WCC Festeve 2016 with Pranav winning best drummer Second place at Riviera, VIT 2015 with Pranav winning best drummer Second place at Milan, SRM 2015 They began their career by playing at the college level and semi-pro competitions such as Powerchords and Decibels at Saarang 2015, Battle of the Bands at SRM Milan 2015 and Resonance at Riviera 2015. Dropline Studio (Lakshman Chandrasekaran) helped them to record their debut EP, Ascendance.
