Soul Samvaad is one of India's most innovative and exciting bands from New Delhi. The members have created their own distinctive style of world music, composing gorgeous melodies driven by a serious rhythmical undercurrent, a soulful music with an ability to absorb influences from across the globe. Soul Samvaad is a highly energetic group of experienced performers that came together to create soul soothing lounge music blending acoustic folk, soul funk, and classical fusion to come up with a truly unique mix of their own with all new electro mix. Band Members: Sarangi – Murad Ali Khan Sarangi player, Murad Ali Khan, is a sixth generation sarangi player. Brilliant is a word truly ascribed to this outstanding musician in every sense of the word. Murad’s brand of music is extremely versatile and appealing to a wide audience. He has brought his brand of traditional Hindustani music into the 21st century with a fresh spark and swing while retaining the roots of this music. He has worked with legends like Shubha Mudgal, Ustad Rashid Khan, Late Shobha Gurtu, Girja Devi, Pt Ajoy Chakraborty, and Veena Sarasbudhe. Sitar – Fateh Ali Khan Fateh Ali belongs to the sixth generation of a family of sarangi players of Moradabad Gharana. Fateh was initiated into vocal music from an early age by his grandfather, Late Ustad Siddique Ahmed Khan Sahab. Vocals – Imran Khan Imran Khan is the disciple and son of Taan Samrat Late Ustad Naseer Ahmed Khan Saheb, the renowned maestro of the Dilli Gharana. In addition to his mastery of the classical form, he also excels in singing a variety of semi-classical music forms such as the dadra, thumri, ghazals, tappa, bhajan, and Sufiana qalam. He has given several performances in India and abroad. Tabla – Amaan Ali Khan He belongs to above sixth generation of the traditional musical family of Moradabad Gharana. Amaan Ali is the son of Ustad Ghulam Sabir Khan who is the well-known sarangi maestro in India. Amaan was initiated into tabla the early age of seven by Ustad Manju Khan, the great tabla maestro. Bass – Ankit Garg A talented bass player, Ankit has trained under many renowned bass players of India. He has the knowledge of Indian classical music as well.
