Smita Gate is an IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre of 1992 batch.While talking to a reporter, Nitish shared how he met Smita, he said, Initially, we knew each other as friends. We have a common family friend who asked to consider marrying each other. We thought about it and met a couple of times after that. We found that we were very compatible and hence we are going ahead with the marriage..Smita was posted as the executive director of Synthetic and Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC) in February 2009. She asked for an inquiry commission as she found that there were some irregularities in the functioning of the department. Instead of taking any action, she was ordered back to her cadre in May 2010. In an interview, her husband, Nitish said,.Later, she filed an RTI application to get the information of her transfer. Her case was presented to CAT, later, judges involved in the case; Jog Singh and Sudhakar Mishra, found that she was on deputation, and she did not join SRTEPC on her own will. Smitas lawyer said,.She was appointed as the Managing Director, M. P. Financial Corporation, Indore in 2015.
