Formerly known as Medusa, Sky Rabbit is a four-piece band that fuses electronica with indie and post-punk styles to create an absolutely unique, signature sound
Sky Rabbit defines its sound as alternative/electronic. In 2008, it was selected by the legendary music producer, John Leckie, who has worked with the likes of The Verve, Pink Floyd, and Radiohead, to record two tracks with him, which formed the part of the British Council Soundpad compilation CD. In 2009, they traveled to perform at the Great Escape Festival in Brighton and continued their UK tour to Oxford, Cardiff, London, and Liverpool. The band released its debut self-titled album in 2012, comprising a set of tightly-constructed tracks that blended synthetic textures with organic instrumentation, creating a sound that is addictive, experimental and bold. Right away after, it released an EP titled ‘Where’, which won the band recognition for ‘Band of the Year’ and ‘Best Album’ at the Jack Daniels Rock Awards in 2013. A few months later, at the VH1 Sound Nation Awards, they ended up taking home the award for 'Rock Band of the Year’.
