Shubhalakshmi Mishtie Sen is a professional singer based out of the capital city of West Bengal, Kolkata.
Mishtie is a reservoir of music, cultivating styles like English retro classics, pop, jazz, blues, reggae, rap, hip-hop, and old school disco.
Born in 1985, she is an Indian playback singer. She was raised in Delhi where she performed in local gatherings at the age of four and started her career at the famous pub in Kolkata, The Someplace Else, at the age of 16, with the famous Latin band, Orient Express (2001).
During the years passed, she has performed with many famous bands from Kolkata like Chandrabindoo, Hip-Pocket, etc. and caught the eyes of many music directors. She landed her first playback in 2002 for the album recording of Orient Express.
She has recorded for the jingle for the Bengali standup comedy series called Mirakkel (2005) and I Laugh You (2006) under the banner of Chandrabindoo, a Bengali band.
Her first movie playback was for Box No 1313 (2005) under the music direction of the band Chandrabindoo. Since then, she hasn’t looked back.
Mistie has sung for the famous Cadbury Dairy Milk Silk song, Kiss me Close your eyes, in 2009 for the famous Mumbai production house, Foot Candles, under the music direction of Vinil Mathews.
