Shrap was founded by Saptak in 2011 in Kolkata. In the Expected line-up, Saptak – singer/songwriter and rhythm guitarist of the band – is the only founding member remaining. The band is completed by Dipanjan (drums), Subhajit (bass), and Rudra (guitars). The band began its journey with the name, 'Antimsanskar'.
