Shraddha Bindroo is a Srinagar-based associate professor who works in Chandigarh.In the 1990s, during the exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits in Jammu and Kashmir, India, Bindroos family stayed in Srinagar and ran their pharmacy shop.Makhan Lal Bindroo (Shraddhas father) ran two pharmacies in Jammu and Kashmir, which was started by his father in late 1947. Makhan was one of the respected pharmacists in Indira Nagar, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.Makhan Lal, along with two other civilians, Mohd Shafi Lone in the Shahgund area of Bandipora in Srinagar and Virender Paswan (a street hawker) near Madina Chowk, Lalbazar in Srinagar, was killed by the terrorists.
