Shivagarjana was established in 2002, and was one of the first of its genre to start dhol, tasha and dhwaj troupe. In 2002, it was the first troupe to have female members participating along with male colleagues. It was first to have pioneered Dhwaj Formations which are replicated by many pathaks today in all its functions. For the last few years, it has actively engaged into felicitating the achievement of a fellow artist who has contributed significantly in 'Charma Vadya'. It was also the first to start an overseas branch in Sydney. Shivagarjana members had been organizing blood donation camps since 2012. Shivagarjana prides itself in ensuring that processions it participates in follow utmost discipline, and thus has brought about change in Ganapati processions. Over the years, Shivagarjana has done several social benefit programmes by organizing youth power and using it in the most effective manner. Shivagarjana is proud of all its members who actively participate. They have produced some of the best dhol, tasha, and dhwaj players in the country.
