Shehbaz Sharif is a Pakistani politician who became the 23rd Prime Minister of Pakistan on 11 April 2022.His father, Muhammad Sharif, was a businessman who emigrated from Anantnag and settled down in the village of Jati Umra in Amritsar district, Punjab at the beginning of the 20th century. In 2018, after he was elected as the president of the party, in the oath-taking ceremony, he said, I believe Nawaz Sharif is the only Pakistani politician and leader that can be called Jinnahs political heir. We are lucky to have been blessed with a Quaid [leader] like Nawaz Sharif..In 2018, he was nominated as the Leader of the Opposition after the 2018 election.In December 2019, 23 properties of Shehbaz and his son were frozen by the National Accountability Bureau in connection with a money laundering case.
