Her sister is married to Jaidev Shroff, the owner of United Phosphorus. In 2001, her mother was accused of black-marketing petrol and was also known for filing theft complaints against guests. According to some media reports, Sheetal and Atulya began a relationship after he was initially engaged to her sister, Poonam Bhagat, a claim Sheetal has publicly denied as a rumor started by her sister-in-law.</p><h3>Business and Career</h3><p>Before her marriage in 2000, Sheetal worked in her father's business. After marrying Atulya Mafatlal, she became a prominent luxury retailer, introducing India's first Valentino store. This led to her being featured in <strong>Time Magazine</strong> as an "India's Fashion Retail Pioneer." She is the President of Mafatlal Luxury, a venture she founded in 2004 that provides international luxury brand consultancy. She also served as the Managing Director of Mafatlal Interiors &amp; Kitchen from 2003 to 2005, where she introduced the Corian brand to India. In 2007, a magazine named her one of India's "hot 100 entrepreneurs."</p><p><br></p>
