Shashank Arora is a professional actor based out of the finance capital of India, Mumbai.
Born in 1989 in New Delhi, Shashank was interested in theatre and music from a young age. After finishing high school in early 2006, he left for Montreal, Canada, to study music and cinema. While there, he briefly joined a street theatre group formed by human rights activists.
In 2008, he moved to Mumbai where he studied acting for two years to pursue a career in film.
Shashank first appeared as a supporting character in an Indie feature film called Myoho (2012).
He then went on to play the title role in a film called Titli (2014), which was a part of the official selection, Un Certain Regard at the 2014 Cannes International Film Festival.
Post Titli, he completed work on his second film in late 2014, again in a title role, in the comedy, Brahman Naman, which was a part of the Official Selection, World Cinema Dramatic Competition, at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival.
He has since finished work on two more feature films, The Song of Scorpions and Rock On 2.
