Scriptures in the Attic is a LIVE band based out of Achalpur, Maharashtra. The band was born out of songwriting sessions between a student and his teacher. Robin, who works as a guitar instructor and serves as the band’s lead guitarist, used to have songwriting sessions with Girin instead of lessons, and soon they decided that it was a superb idea to start a band together. Girin, the lead vocalist and lyricist, had been writing lyrics and poems as early as he could remember. His brother Githin, who plays acoustic guitar, would put music to those ideas. Both decided to bring Githin on board because they knew he could add a lot, regarding vocals and contribute to the songwriting process. The band got together at the end of 2014 and started working solely on original music. By the following year, the group completed their lineup with Samir on the bass and Angad on drums, both bringing lots of experience from their earlier bands and projects. It is hard to say which particular genre of rock the group falls into, according to Githin. Their sound is a mix of alternative rock music with a few prog elements, which is why they just say they are a rock band and leave the categorization up to the people who listens to their music.
