He came into the limelight for his selection as a contestant for the singing reality show Indian Idol 12..Sawai Bhatt was born into a very poor family. He used to run puppet shows with his father and mother across Rajasthan to sustain their livings.He was fond of music since childhood but could not focus on it because of his living conditions.While he was growing up, he developed a keen interest in Rajasthans Traditional Music. He got too involved in it and somehow managed to start earning from it.He loves to play the Harmonium.
